Subculture Coffee After Dark

509 Clematis Street. Not a bar — that's why it works. The shop stays open late, the espresso is serious (single-origin, locally roasted, pulled with focus), and the post-8PM crowd is the creative class that exists in every Florida city but rarely has a place to sit that isn't a brewery.

Industrial-cool space — concrete, reclaimed wood, minimalist. The back patio faces the Clematis pedestrian zone. Thursday nights when Clematis by Night fills the street with music and food vendors, the patio becomes a front-row seat. People come to talk, work, read, and exist in public without alcohol's social contract. Conversations are longer, energy calmer, caffeine doing the stimulation without the volume.

The cold brew on nitro — creamy, served in a glass that looks like a stout. Take it to the patio bench facing the fountain. The street lights and warm evening air do the rest.
